CARDINAL VIDAL GRACES OPENING OF PASTOR BONUS TC CENTER IN CEBU CITY

No less than Archbishop Ricardo J. Cardinal Vidal graced the opening yesterday, June 2, 2009, of the Pastor Bonus (Good Shepherd) Therapeutic Community (TC) Center. This is so because the newly opened TC Center, situated at No. 2 Torralba St., Lahug, Cebu City, is a program of the Archdiocese of Cebu and His Eminence is its Chairman of the Board.
Regional Director Ofelia E. Quijano and ARD Al C. Cainglet of PPA Region VII were also present, the center being a community outreach program of the Parole and Probation Administration Regional Office No. 7. For its birthing moments, it has asked the assistance of some DAYTOP, NY, U.S.A. Therapeutic Community-trained parole and probation officers of Region VII, members of the Regional TC Team, to compose its staff.
The residential caring and treatment facility for drug dependents and users is managed by former PPA Administrator Gregorio F. Bacolod. Helping the Administrator, referred to as the "Father of PPA TC," are his lady Mayette Bacolod, retired CPPO Rosario Alaba, SPPO Frank Alaba and RD Rose Comendador.
For the church's side, the Board has for its members Msgr. Rogelio T. Fuentes, Msgr. Joseph C. Tan and Rev. Fr. Leonilo B. Igloria.
